It has been an exciting few months for Apple fans, as the company announced three new products in 2021 – the new Mac Pro, iMac Pro, and Mac mini. Although these products were initially slated for release in late 2022, they were all delayed until 2023 due to unexpected production delays.
Nevertheless, let’s take a closer look at all three new machines and what each has to offer.
New Mac Pro, iMac Pro, and Mac mini all delayed until 2023
WWDC 2021 was held virtually from June 7–11, 2021. At the event, Apple introduced an array of new software updates for their products and new products. During the conference Apple debuted software updates for the following products: Mac, iPhone , iPad , Apple Watch and Apple TV.
One of the main attractions of WWDC 2021 was the announcement of three new computing devices – the Mac Pro, iMac Pro, and Mac Mini. These products are designed to facilitate high-end professional workflows on a desktop or laptop machine while delivering performance that meets or exceeds other popular enterprise grade systems today.
The Mac Pro is a high-performance machine that can be fitted with up to 28 processor cores and 1.5TB of RAM and an impressive configuration selection for graphics cards too — a great choice for intensive media production tasks such as 3D design, live streaming and video post-production workflows. In addition to these professional features it also offers 8K resolution compatibility which makes it ideal for high fidelity content creation tasks such as 4K editing or 3D animation on big screens.
The iMac Pro takes many of these features from the Mac Pro but applies it to a small form factor all-in-one machine designed with powerful user experience functions in mind. Two eight core processors power this model with Turbo Boost speeds up to 4GHz. In addition, it can be configured with Radeon Vega 56 graphics capabilities making it capable of supporting 8k resolution displays like its counterpart. The iMac Pro also has 10Gb Ethernet connection running through its aluminium frame, allowing you to deliver speeds up to 10 times faster than 1Gbs Ethernet connections which is great if you need quick access files stored remotely over network connections during complex video post production tasks or similar jobs requiring large media output manipulation in real time (RTMP).
The most recent update to the Mac Mini range was unveiled at WWDC 2021. This mini PC has more processing power than ever, thanks mainly due to its top end Intel Kaby Lake processor combined with options for increased amounts of RAM compared to previous models ranging from 8GB up to 64GB . In addition, the latest models can now support even more external displays connecting through either HDMI 2 port, giving you better chances at working on multiple activities side by side, improving efficiency in multitasking scenarios .

Expected release date
The new Mac Pro, iMac Pro, and Mac mini were all part of Apple’s big summer 2021 event at WWDC, there’s no definite word yet as to when they’ll be released.
According to Apple, the new Mac Pro is set to come out in “late 2021.” The company also provided a release date estimate for the iMac Pro: “Fall 2021.” At this time it’s unclear whether this falls before or after the fall equinox (September 22).
Details for the new Mac mini have also yet to be determined beyond its WWDC reveal, including international availability and an official release date. That being said, leaks suggest a “mid-year” launch: between June and August of 2021.
Finally, pre-orders have already been released on Apple’s website for all three upgraded configurations with delivery slated for 8-10 weeks from June 8th depending on which model was pre-ordered. Although that timeline suggests a potential August launch window — mid-to-late August — note that exact timing will depend on individual orders and can vary geographically.
